Colleagues Working Together

With more than two decades of educational experience, Dr. Philip Carney has served as a teacher, principal, district administrator, and consultant. As the owner and lead consultant of Connect-Ed Solutions, Dr. Carney offers innovative approaches to professional development and organizational improvement. He specializes in providing engaging keynotes, impactful training, coaching, program evaluations, and strategic support to educational systems, nonprofits, and businesses.

 

A pioneer in Texas of implementing Restorative Practices and an advocate of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) integrated into school culture, Dr. Carney has a proven track record of designing practical, evidence-based solutions that empower educators and enhance student outcomes. His expertise spans classroom management, leadership development, MTSS implementation, instructional leadership, employee-conflict resolution, and strategic planning, ensuring a comprehensive approach to improve school climate and operational efficiency with the goal of enhancing performance.

 

Before founding Connect-Ed Solutions, Dr. Carney led transformative initiatives as the Restorative Discipline Coordinator for North East ISD and as Principal of Ed White Middle School, where he spearheaded the introduction of Restorative Discipline in Texas public schools. His efforts have earned statewide recognition, and he has shared his expertise with educators, administrators, and policymakers across Texas, including the Texas Education Agency and the State’s Commissioner of Education. Dr. Carney’s unique ability to blend innovative strategies with practical insights reflects his commitment to the success of both children and adults in creating a safe and supportive culture.
